AML Subject Matter Expert
We are seeking a qualified and experienced professional to fill the role of AML Subject Matter Expert and local MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and establishing effective AML frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Write and implement procedures tailored to the Latvian regulatory landscape and TF Bank Group process and regulatory framework.
Act as local branch MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) and liaise with local supervisory authorities and investigative bodies.
Conduct regular assessments of the AML framework, identifying areas for improvement in AML processes and implementing necessary changes in compliance with FSA.
Stay abreast of changes in AML regulation, advising senior management on potential impacts and ensuring timely adjustments to policies and procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AML considerations into business processes and product development.
Design and conduct training programmes for employees to enhance awareness and understanding of AML strategies.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders regarding AML metrics.
Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and insights into AML practices.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Expertise
Proven expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) within the financial services industry, ideally in Latvia and within a multi-jurisdictional environment.
Strong knowledge of Latvian and EU AML regulations, compliance frameworks, and licensing requirements.
Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing AML processes across multiple jurisdictions.
Previous experience working with regulatory authorities and responding to regulatory inquiries is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Swedish regulatory requirements is considered an advantage.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
Advanced degree or relevant certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent are considered a plus.
Language Skills
Fluency in Latvian and English is required.
Additional European languages are an advantage.

Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance and financial crime risks.
Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to independently evaluate situations, determine appropriate actions, and take ownership of outcomes.
